 On-Line appts - 'Patient Access' (and repeat medication ordering)

To order your Repeat Medication or to Book an appointment you will need register for Patient Access. You can either come in to the practice and ask the receptionist for a letter which will give you access details or you can visit this website:

If you register on-line without the letter from the practice you will need to bring in ID (ie Passport or Driving licence) in order to be given full access to the service. You will only be able to book one appt on-line until you do this.

Once fully registered you will also be able to order your Repeat Medication via this service too.


We have a NURSE PRACITIONER Mr Tony Mayled who started with us in October 2014.

Electronic Prescription Service - EPS2 

Patients who would like to collect their repeat prescriptions directly from the pharmacy without the need to come to the surgery, just need to visit their 'preferred' pharmacy and NOMINATE to start using the system. Hope we get some takers soon!

Not all pharmacies in Chester are linked yet.


Measles Outbreak

There has been a recent increase in cases of Measles.

If your child has not completed their two MMR vaccinations please make arrangements for vaccination and if you or your child are unimmunised and are due to travel abroad, please contact the nurse to discuss.

Extended Hours

Do you work during the day? Do you find it difficult to attend the surgery during normal surgery hours? If so we are pleased to be able to offer you our Extended Access Clinics. These are available every day from 8.10am-8.30am and again from 6.00-6.20pm.

PLEASE NOTE:  You will not be able to request repeat medication until you have brought picture ID into the surgery to verify your account. 

From 1 April 2015 we intend to allow patients to view and download a summary of their medical records. This will include Medications, Allergy’s and adverse conditions. You will need to sign up to our online access facility. Details can be obtained from reception. If you are already requesting your prescriptions online via Patient Access you do not need to do anything more.

SMS MESSAGING: - we are now sending out appointment reminders and result notifications by text message. It is therefore very IMPORANT to let us know if you change your mobile number. You can let us know via Patient Access if you are registered, you can email us on or just telephone the receptionist and let us know. Thanks

Northgate Development

Work is now progressing in our plans for the development of a new purpose-built Integrated Care Centre on the site of the former bus station on Delamere Street, Chester. Four local practices The Elms Medical Centre, Hoole Road Surgery, Northgate Village Surgery and Northgate Medical Centre will potentially relocate to the new building as well as a number of community services currently provided from St Martin’s clinic and Upton clinic. We have disabled/wheelchair access to the ground floor (at the back of the building) where we offer the full range of services. Please tell the staff if you need to be seen downstairs when you make your appointment.


Car parking is available at the nearby Gorse Stacks Car Park. Disabled patients may park behind the doctors cars at the rear of the Surgery for an appointment.
